The recently approved State-Regions Agreement no. 59/CSR of 17 April 2025 was published in the Official Gazette on 24 May 2025. It unified and updated the framework governing mandatory training under Article 37 of Legislative Decree no. 81/2008.
The Agreement covers workers, supervisors, managers, employers, prevention officers and other safety roles. It addresses minimum content, duration, delivery methods, verification of learning and transitional arrangements.
Global e-learning catalogues may be useful but do not automatically satisfy Italian requirements. The legal role held by the participant and the actual risk level determine the correct route, while practical modules and attendance evidence may be essential.
Italian employers should map every safety role, verify existing credits and expiry dates, and schedule any additional training within the transition period. Training should correspond to the risk assessment and to the duties actually performed.
